we'll be running! I hope everybody is excited about this and not scared. I've been a little over-motivational on purpose on this blog in hopes that it would help us train harder. I've done this so that when it's time to run we can enjoy ourselves better cuz we're conditioned. Plus, I don't wanna have to smell vomit in the car cuz somebody over did it. :(
If you don't feel like you're where you need to be yet, you've still got a solid month of training(remember the week of Ragnar doesn't help much). I know I'm not where I need to be because two of my runs are uphill and over 7.5 miles. I went and ran on the treadmill yesterday and set the incline to what it'll be for those two runs and it rocked me! So on my weekday runs I'm gonna focus on strengthening my uphill muscles and on Saturdays I'll focus on endurance. We all have different strengths and weaknesses in running(form, speed, uphill or downhill conditioning, diet). Decide what your weaknesses are and focus on those for the next month so you'll enjoy the Wasatch Back.

Kip you are so hard core! It makes me a little nervous! Conditioned or not I may still puke because of nerves. Wish me well and be glad I am not in your van. HE HE! Do we have a plan for race day yet so I can make arrangements with my brother and for my kid?
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to talk with Brady about arrangements since we are in different vans.
ReplyDeleteDON'T BE NERVOUS!!! This is supposed to be fun. You'll do great, just keep training!
I request that no one puke in my car! :0)
ReplyDeleteSo I did a 5K at 27 min. Was happy with that. Ran a 7 min mile for fun in my 5 miler the other day. Couldnt hold that out for much longer but hey, I'm improving. So where do we meet you guys the morning of the race? I think we might stay at Mary's parents house so we will be hooked up with them allready.
